About Remote Help
Thanks to the great people over at TeamViewer we are now able to offer remote help and support for your computer. This means that if you have a problem and for any reason it is not possible or practical
for an engineer to come out to you, we can connect to your computer and help you from our workshop.
Pricing and Payment
This will greatly depend upon what support we are actually giving. For very quick sessions the cost may be minimal or completely free. If we have just fixed your computer and you need help making
something work or there is something we missed, then we may also be able to fix it for free using remote help; it will ultimately depend upon the amount of time we must spend fixing your computer.
We will always aim to make you fully aware of any charges before the work is done. If you are requesting specific services such as remote Virus Removal, Servicing or similar, then we may ask for payment before any work is performed, via a card payment. We can send you a receipt via email if required.
Our Guarantee
We offer a guarantee where if we cannot fix your problem remotely after you have paid for the service, then we will come out to complete the job at no extra charge, other than travel and fuel expenses. *
This means that if you are suffering from a Virus or other problem there is a chance we may fix it immediately for you without having to arrange a callout, but should we fail to succeed then we will still
come and finish the job for you!
Important
Please only use this service if you have been instructed to do so by our engineer and they are on the phone and ready to assist you. If you have not yet spoken to an engineer then please give us a call and ask about our remote support service.
Step 1:
Once you have been given the go ahead by our engineer, download the Quick Support software by clicking here or the button below:
Step 2:
Once you have downloaded the program (QuickSupport.exe) then open it as you would any other file. Dismiss any warning messages that appear, Windows will automatically try and warn you when opening any
program you download, be assured this one is perfectly safe.
You should then see this screen:
Step 3:
Inside the "Your ID" box and the "Password" box should be two numbers. The engineer may ask for these numbers, so please be ready to read them. The engineer may also be able to connect straight to your computer without these numbers once you have opened the program, but you will still be required to click allow before we can control your computer.
Now your part is done! Either go make a cup of tea or sit back and watch as we attempt to repair your computer for you. Please be aware that we may need you to occasionally push buttons or perform tasks that we can't do from our end, so try and stay nearby.
No need to worry
It's natural to be concerned at this point due to how easy it is for someone to connect to your PC. Rest assured, after the work is done you need only close the program (if our engineer has not already done so) and we will not be able to connect again unless you ask us to and grant access.
There are many scam websites and viruses that will attempt to trick you into using a program such as this so that they may control your computer. As long as you are vigilant however and only offer access to your computer by companies you know where you have explicitly asked them to do so then you will be completely safe.
* We must unfortunately charge for travel and fuel expenses to cover our costs. We will only guarantee to repair your computer on site at no extra charge if there are no additional problems or faulty items that would incur additional costs. For example: We attempt to speed up your PC by conducting a full service, but your computer requires an upgrade or a hardware component is faulty, causing your computer to still be slower than normal. These parts will not be included in the offer. If you ask us to perform additional tasks seperate from the original job then these may also incur additional costs.
